As the warehouse supervisor, you will oversee and coordinate daily warehouse activities, managing personnel, ensuring operational efficiency, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a proven track record in warehouse management.

The warehouse supervisor reports directly to the warehouse manager. 

Operational Responsibilities:

Leadership and Supervision – Lead and supervise warehouse staff to ensure a cohesive and efficient working team & Provide on-the-job training for all staff under your supervision.

Task Execution and Output: Ensure daily tasks align with organizational standards and contribute to the completion of work output as required / Measure and manage daily work output, taking corrective action on poor performance.

Compliance Management: Monitor and enforce compliance with SAHPRA and SAPC regulations / Implement and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for optimal efficiency and accuracy.

Time Management and Reporting: Monitor and report on your team’s timekeeping / Provide regular reports to management on operational metrics.

Warehouse Operations Oversight: Oversee all aspects of warehouse operations, including picking, replenishment, and inventory management / Monitor batch and expiry dates, ensuring adherence to First Expiry First Out (FEFO) procedures.

Safety and Environment: Enforce safety policies and procedures to maintain a secure working environment / Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained for a clean and organized workspace.

Communication and Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments to facilitate smooth communication and coordination of activities / Maintain clear and open communication with warehouse staff, addressing concerns and providing guidance.

Team Building and Work Environment: Foster a positive working environment that encourages teamwork, efficiency, and a commitment to quality / Participate in the annual stock take, assisting in planning and preparation.

Reports and Documentation: Provide management with weekly and monthly reports on operational activities.

Qualification: Minimum Matric National Certificate or Matric Equivalent Certificate. Pharmacy Assistant Basic or Post Basic (Mandatory).

Experience: Proven experience in warehouse management or a similar supervisory role, with familiarity in inventory management software and systems.
